For our Spring Concert on May 15th, the Sanford Jazz Ensemble pays tribute to one of the founding fathers of jazz, Louis Armstrong. Hear the trumpet section’s take on “When It’s Sleepy Time Down South” and Ron Starks will sing the classic, “What a Wonderful World.” Ron will also bring the funk with Tower of Power’s “You’re Still a Young Man” and “Soul With a Capital S”, plus he’ll be singing a soulful medley of Sam & Dave classics.
The band will have fun with Dizzy Gillespie’s “Manteca”, Freddie Hubbard’s “Little Sunflower”, and many more great tunes. See you there!
